Statistics is the grammar of technology

Come learn it with us!

Our goal

There has never been more data in the history of mankind. Every day, we generate roughly 2.5 quintillion bytes of data (a quintillion has 18 zeros). This number will only get exponentially bigger as technology intertwines further into our daily lives.

We need a way to understand all this data. That’s why data science and computer science are two of the fastest growing careers.

However, what most people don’t realize is that at the core of machine learning, data science, and computer science is one fundamental subject: Statistics.

Our mission

Knowing coding languages is understanding the what behind Computer Science. Mastering Statistics is grasping the how behind Computer Science, and will accelerate the learning curve of any aspiring computer scientists.

On this platform, we will provide primers on interesting statistics concepts, explore how statistics impact computer science & data science, and do deep dives on how statistics can be applied to many fields of studies.

ABOUT ME

Priyankaa Nigam

I'm Priyankaa, a sophomore at the University of California, Irvine, majoring in Business Information Management. I created The Grammar of Technology to make statistics and data science concepts clear, engaging, and practical for anyone curious about how data shapes our world.

Beyond the classroom, I co-founded Compass 4 Humanity, a nonprofit supporting refugees and orphans, and have volunteered extensively through tutoring and community initiatives. These experiences fuel my passion for using data and storytelling to drive meaningful impact.

Outside of academics and projects, you'll find me knitting, experimenting with new desserts, or practicing gymnastics.
